Hi there and welcome to Harmony Meadow Homestead!
Here we like to make natural living, herbal health and sustainable homesteading attainable for everyone.
My name is Chandra and I am a wife to my amazing husband, Johnathan, a mother of one sweet baby girl and follower of Jesus Christ.
Since I was a teenager, I have been interested in natural health, herbs, food and remedies.
I know it can be hard to be healthy, especially when ‘healthy’ is expensive. Here at Harmony Meadow Homestead, I share affordable, healthy living to boost you and your family’s health and well being.
I believe that God gave us herbs as natural medicine. Although herbs don’t always keep us from getting sick, they can play a big part in helping keep us healthy and energized. Herbs contain so many nutrients that are vital to our body.
A few facts about me:
My family and I live in a trailer park in a rural town, but we own some land outside of town where we spend any spare time. We are hoping to build a house on our land as soon as possible.
I am the fourth child of six, there were four of us girls and two boys. What a hoot growing up! I wouldn’t trade my childhood growing up on the family farm for anything! We all were homeschooled by my mom, for which I am so thankful. The chance to grow up so close to my siblings has impacted my whole life; they are all such amazing people!
Before I married my husband, I was working on a degree in biology, with plans of going to medical school. I ‘dropped out’ of college before we got married, knowing if we were able to have kids I wanted to be a stay at home mom.
In my last semester of college, I took an EMT course, which was probably my favorite college class I took.
I have had an innumerable amount of nicknames throughout the years, but the one that has stuck to this day is, Turtle. Aunt Turtle, Mama Turtle, Crazy Turtle.
I hope you will leave feeling inspired and motivated to take on all life hands you!
