What is lemongrass?
The lemongrass plant (Cymbopogon) is a tall, perennial plant that grows natively in India and countries surrounding India.
This grassy plant has long leaves that are extremely aromatic.
Lemongrass leaves can be used for many different things including, lemongrass tea, seasoning for soup, sauces, and meats, along with being used in skin care and hair care products.
To make this plant into essential oils, lemongrass leaves, after being cut and harvested, are then steam-distilled, making the very concentrated lemongrass essential oil (EO).

How to make a lemongrass roller bottle
If you are going to use lemongrass EO directly on your skin, you need to properly dilute it.
This is because lemongrass can be irritating to the skin.
Diluting your essential oil does not make the oil any less effective, in fact, it may actually increase the absorption into your skin!
Take the roller part of a 10 mL roller bottle out.
Then add 15-20 drops of lemongrass essential oil.
Fill the bottle the rest of the way with a carrier oil such as, jojoba oil, fractionated coconut oil, sweet almond oil, or avocado oil.
Place the roller part back into the bottle.
To use, roll over the area you want to apply the lemongrass oil to.

Also, do not use this essential oil on small children before consulting with a doctor.
Do not let any essential oils, including lemongrass EO, come into contact with your eyes, inner ears, or any other sensitive area of the body.
