There are many reasons why you should drink raspberry leaf tea, the biggest one being it is a hormone balancer. Red raspberry leaf tea has been used for centuries to support women’s health.
This tea has compounds that help balance hormones, strengthen the reproductive organs and support digestive function which are just a few reasons you should drink raspberry leaf tea.
From personal experience, I know how helpful red raspberry leaf tea can be when it comes to balancing hormones.
When symptoms of pms start coming on, I make myself a big jug of this tea. It still blows my mind how this tea can help so much.

Eases Symptoms of PMS
Red raspberry leaves contain compounds that help ease discomfort before and during your period.
Fragerine, a compound found in red raspberry leaves, helps tone and tighten the uterine and pelvic muscles. Because of this, red raspberry leaves help reduce uterine cramps (spams).
Red raspberry leaves also contain vitamin B6. This vitamin binds to estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone which helps to regulate mood swings and irritability.
Red raspberry leaves may help boost energy as well throughout your period thanks to their high iron content.
Supports Female Reproductive Health
High in nutrients that promote a healthy uterus and hormone levels.
Red raspberry leaves contain many nutrients including vitamins A, C and E, as well as B group vitamins.
They also contain the minerals calcium, magnesium, zinc, manganese, and iron.
These nutrients nurture and thicken the lining of the uterus, as well as, increase the amount of blood in the uterus.
Red raspberry leaves contain certain compounds that boost and support progesterone levels. Progesterone is needed to sustain life in the uterus.
Prepares the Body for Labor
Helps prepare the body for labor by strengthening the uterus and pelvic muscles.
Red raspberry leaf tea has been used for centuries to help the process of labor. These leaves boost blood flow to the uterus, preparing it for the work of labor.
They also strengthen the muscles of the uterus, making contractions stronger and more effective.
Red raspberry leaf tea will not put you into labor, but it will help to prepare your uterus for when labor begins.
Caution! Because red raspberry leaf tea stimulates uterine muscle contractions, it is important to not drink raspberry leaf tea early on in your pregnancy. Ask your doctor or midwife before incorporating red raspberry leaf tea into your diet. It is typically safe to begin drinking this tea after you are 32 weeks pregnant, but check with your provider first.
Eases Menopausal Symptoms
Hormone balancing properties in red raspberry leaves help to ease symptoms of menopause.
Menopause can be a crazy roller coaster of hormones. Your body is confused and basically in freak out mode.
Symptoms of menopause could include any or all of the following, mood swings, hot flashes, sleep problems, thinning hair, weight gain, and irregular periods. *Sigh*
Red raspberry leaf tea may help balance these all-over-the-board hormones.
Although this tea won’t take away all the symptoms of menopause, it can at least lessen the hormone roller coaster so you are not screaming all the way to the bottom!
